The spring and autumn are the best travel season. Shanghai have clear four seasons due to the subtropical marine monsoon climate. Generally speaking, the warm spring and cool autumn is the most pleasant seasons, and the summer and winter are comparably not so comfortable. It is usually mild and moist in Shanghai, the highest temperature usually shows on July and August, and the coldest temperature shows on the Chinese New Year, starting from the end of January till the beginning of February. Visiting Shanghai between March and May or between Septembers to November is your best choice.
All foreign travelers should provide passports. Valid time is required for 6 months after your departure from China.
